The 37-year-old rapper and her husband Kenneth Petty welcomed their first child together.

Nicki and Kenneth first announced the pregnancy back in September amid the Coronavirus lockdowns.

Nicki and Kenneth welcomed their newborn on Wednesday (September 30) in Los Angeles, but at this time, the name and sex of the child have not been made public.

Kenneth Petty wants to be there for Nicki Minaj and their child.

The 42-year-old husband of the 37-year-old Pink Friday superstar, who is a registered sex offender, petitioned for a judge to change his conditions so that he can attend the birth of their child if it happens outside of his curfew hours, according to TMZ.

Kenneth also requested to be able to travel with Nicki on business trips as her manager. He also stated in the court documents that the U.S. Attorney’s Office and pretrial services office are not against his requests.

“Kenneth‘s status as a sex offender stems from a 1995 New York conviction for first-degree attempted rape. Petty pled not guilty to failing to register as a sex offender, and a judge recently gave him permission to surf the web. Now, Kenneth‘s hoping to go 2-for-2 with the judge,” the outlet reports.

During an interview with Lil Wayne on his Young Money Radio with Lil Wayne on Apple Music series Friday, the 37-year-old rapper opened up about married life with husband Kenneth Petty.

“I didn’t think it would be as refreshing and calming as it is,” Nicki shared with Lil Wayne.

Nicki and Kenneth, 42, got married back in October after more than a year of dating.

“Even if you’re not married, when you have someone that feels like your soulmate or someone who understands you, it just makes you feel like you’re on top of the world,” Nicki said.

There has been plenty of speculation about Nicki possibly expecting a baby and a fan asked her about the rumors during a Twitter Q&A on Thursday (May 7).

“Can you post a baby bump pic Queen?” one fan asked. She responded, “Yea in a couple months. The world ain’t ready yet.”

Another fan appeared to ask about morning sickness and said, “Are you also throwing up in morning and having to go to the bathroom a lot?”

Nicki responded, “Lmao. No throwing up. But nausea and peeing non stop. Omg what do u think this means guys???? Lmaooooooooooo.”

On Tuesday (March 10), the 55-year-old Wendy Williams Show host said on her show that the 37-year-old “Tusa” rapper ruined her own brand by marrying Kenneth Petty, who recently officially registered as a sex offender.

“Well apparently the way this show is going today, we did not have enough time to get to Nicki Minaj‘s [husband],” Wendy said. “But let me tell you something Nicki. That’s going to be my first story tomorrow and I’m going to lead with this: You should’ve never married him because now you’ve ruined everything about what your brand could be.”

“Again, you are never going to stand a chance when you are with a man who pulls a knife at rape point,” she continued. “A registered sex offender, you are never going to stand a chance with the public.”

Nicki Minaj‘s husband has officially registered as a sex offender.

Kenneth Petty is now listed in the California Department of Justice’s database as a sex offender, Page Six reports on Monday (March 9).

The 41-year-old’s offense is entered in the database as “attempted rape by force or fear.”

Kenneth was arrested last week and placed in federal custody for failing to register as a sex offender in California following his move from New York, where he is already registered. He was reportedly released after paying his $20,000 bond.

Kenneth was convicted back in 1995 of attempting to rape a 16-year-old girl.

According to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office via The Blast, charges against Kenneth have been dismissed. However, he still faces federal charges for not registering earlier.
