Nicki Minaj‘s husband Kenneth Petty has been arrested.

The 37-year-old “Yikes” rapper’s husband has been arrested by U.S. Marshals on an indictment for not registering as a sex offender, TMZ reports.

Kenneth was in federal custody on Wednesday (March 4) and turned himself in.

He appeared in court and pled not guilty. He will reportedly post $100,000 bond later today and has another hearing scheduled for March 23.

Kenneth will be required to wear an ankle monitor, will have a curfew, must remain in Southern California, and cannot use any drugs.

Kenneth previously got pulled over by Beverly Hills police in back in November, who discovered he was a registered sex offender in New York but had not registered in California. He was arrested, released on a $20,000 bond, and charged for failing to register as a sex offender.

If convicted on the federal charge, Kenneth faces up to 10 years in prison.

The Queen rapper gushed over her husband in a post on Thursday (February 27) on her Instagram.

Nicki Minaj ran into her ex-boyfriend Meek Mill at a clothing store on Friday (January 24) and things didn’t go well.

The two rappers, along with Nicki‘s husband Kenneth Petty, engaged in a screaming fight at the Maxfield store in West Hollywood, Calif.

Meek had to be held back by his own security team and escorted out of the store during the fight. In a video released by TMZ, you can hear Kenneth call Meek a “p—y” and Nicki seemingly called her ex a “b–ch” at one point.

Nicki Minaj is firing back at Wendy Williams after the talk show host brought up her new husband Kenneth Petty‘s criminal past while talking about the couple’s wedding.

During a recent episode of Wendy‘s show, she congratulated Nicki on the nuptials, but also threw some shade at Kenneth because of his past. He served time in prison for manslaughter and is also a registered sex offender in the state of New York.

“Now, he served seven years in prison and he’s also a sex offender. So that means that he — is a manslaughter a killer? Okay, so he’s a killer and a sex offender. Well Nicki, congratulations,” she said on the show.
