Garth Brooks Honors Randy Travis With Artist For A Lifetime Honor at CMT Artist of the Year 2021

Garth Brooks is paying tribute to Randy Travis!

The 59-year-old entertainer hit the stage to present Randy with the Artist For A Lifetime honor during the at the 2021 CMT Artist of the Year held on Wednesday night (October 13) in Nashville, Tenn.

“Randy Travis saved country music, in my opinion,” Garth shared back in 2019. “I don’t know of any artist who took a format and turned it 180 [degrees] back to where it came from and made it bigger than it was then.”

Chris Stapleton, Kane Brown, and Luke Combs were also honored at the event.

Randy‘s wife, Mary Davis, and Chris‘s wife, Morgane, were also on the red carpet, alongside Pentatonix‘s Kevin Olusola.

Luke Combs Pays for Funerals of 3 Fans Who Died After Concert

Luke Combs is paying the funeral costs for three fans who saw him perform at a music festival.

The 31-year-old country singer has reached out to the family members of three fans who sadly died from carbon monoxide at a campground after a Michigan musical festival, per ET.

Luke Combs Apologizes for Previously Using Confederate Flag Imagery

Luke Combs is issuing an apology.

The 30-year-old country star made an appearance in a Country Radio Seminar event on Wednesday (February 17) in a panel with moderator Ann Powers and participant Maren Morris, in which they discussed Morgan Wallen‘s recent racial slur controversy.

Luke pointed out that he used to use Confederate flags in previous imagery in his career.

“There is no excuse for those images. I think, as a younger man, that was an image that I associated to mean something else. And as I’ve grown in my time as an artist, and as the world has changed drastically in the last five to seven years [when the images were created], I am now aware how painful that image can be to someone else…I would never want to be associated with something that brings so much hurt to someone else,” he said.

“I’m here to learn. I feel like I’m at this highly successful moment of my career, and I couldn’t just sit back and not do anything. I couldn’t not say, ‘Hey, I want people to know that we, as a genre, care about this issue.’”

A TV star also just apologized for wearing a jacket with the flag.

Luke Combs walks the red carpet with his wife Nicole Hocking at the 2020 CMA Awards on Wednesday (November 11) at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tenn.

The 30-year-old country singer tied the knot with Nicole back in August during a ceremony in Florida.

His rep said at the time, “Luke and Nicole were married at their home in Southern Florida with family on Aug. 1. Despite the threat of a hurricane, the couple had a lovely intimate ceremony and will be celebrating with friends and family in the new year.”

Luke is nominated for six awards in five categories this year, including Entertainer of the Year. He has two nominations in the Song of the Year category!

You can also expect Luke to perform his song “Cold as You” during the event.

Luke Combs Returns to No. 1 With 'What You See Is What You Get' on Billboard 200

Luke Combs is back on top.

The 30-year-old country star’s What You See Is What You Get returned to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for a second nonconsecutive week with its deluxe issue, setting a new weekly streaming record for a country album, Billboard reported Sunday (November 1).

The album moved 109,000 equivalent album units in the past week. Its streaming total of 102.26 million weekly streams breaks the album’s own record for the largest streaming week for a country album ever. It first set the record with its initial release on November 14, 2019.

It’s also only the second country album to reach No. 1 in 2020. Congratulations, Luke Combs!

Sam Hunt & More Country Stars Perform at CMT Music Awards 2020!

Sam Hunt is one of the many performers at the 2020 CMT Music Awards!

The 35-year-old country singer took to the stage for a performance of his song “Hard to Forget” during the awards show, which aired on Wednesday evening (October 21).

Other performers during the show included Travis Denning performing “After a Few,” Morgan Wallen singing “Chasin’ You,” and Luke Combs performing “1, 2 Many.”

This year, Ashley McBryde, Kane Brown, and Sarah Hyland be taking on hosting duties for the show, airing RIGHT NOW on CMT, MTV, MTV2, Logo, Paramount Network, Pop TV and TV Land. Be sure to tune in!

Luke Combs' Valentine's Day Post to Fiancee Nicole Hocking is Pure Goals

Luke Combs‘ Valentine’s Day message to his fiancee Nicole Hocking will melt even the coldest of hearts.

The 29-year-old country singer took to Instagram on Thursday (February 13) to share his sentiments.

“Happy Valentines Day to the love of my life @nicohocking,” Luke captioned a series of images. “I know you’re probably gonna kill me for using some of these photos because they don’t have filters or bomb ass lighting but you don’t need any of that.”

“These pictures remind me of you in so many ways, your natural beauty, your radiant smile, your fun loving personality, your sense of humor, and how much you love animals just to name a few and I just wanted the world to get a little peek of all the amazing sides of you I get to see everyday,” he added. “Thank you for loving me, I don’t know how you do it, but I’m glad you do. I love you SO. MUCH.”

Nicole Hocking commented, “‘I wanted to post it a day early so people would actually see it’ STOP IM CRYIN. I love you so so much ♥️♥️♥️.”
