The ladies were joined at the event by their co-stars Ellen Tamaki, Ser’Darius Blain, and Rupert Evans, as well as the show’s producers.

It’s no secret that original cast member Holly Marie Combs is not supportive of the reboot, but the cast hopes she’ll give it a chance.

“Of course, you can’t help but feel disappointed because I think the script is fantastic,” Madeleine said (via EW). “I really hope maybe she’ll see it and like it.”

“I think that there’s also a lot of positive stuff coming out, too, and I think that we’ve collectively made the decision to focus on that,” Melonie added.

The ladies are starring in the reboot of the beloved series and they explained why they want fans of the original series to give the new show a chance.

“We come in peace. I think the original was so wonderful, and they were really trailblazers and we could not be here without them,” Madeleine said during the panel (via IndieWire).

“There are core similarities with the original show… I hope [fans] embrace it… We want to honor it properly while bringing a modern twist. Just — come with us, see if you like it,” Sarah added.

Camila Mendes, KJ Apa, Charles Melton, Casey Cott, and Vanessa Morgan all attended the event held at Avra Madison Estiatorio on Thursday (May 17) in New York City.

They were joined by their co-stars Cole Sprouse, Madelaine Petsch, Lili Reinhart, and Mark Consuelos.

Also in attendance were Roswell, New Mexico‘s Michael Vlamis, Jeanine Mason, Lily Cowles, and Nathan Parsons, In The Dark‘s Perry Mattfeld, and All American‘s Cody Christian, Daniel Ezra, Taye Diggs, Samantha Logan, Karimah Westbrook, Monet Mazur, Bre-Z, and Michael Evans Behling.

Supernatural‘s Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and Misha Collins, Arrow‘s Stephen Amell, Black Lightning‘s China Anne McClain, Nafessa Williams, Cress Williams, and Christine Adams, Dynasty‘s Elizabeth Gillies, Nicollette Sheridan, and Rafael De La Fuente, and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend‘s Rachel Bloom also stepped out for the party.

Charmed‘s Melonie Diaz, Madeleine Mantock, and Sarah Jeffery, Legacies‘ Danielle Rose Russell and Matt Davis, and Thirty Seconds To Mars were there to show their support as well.

The three stars of Charmed – Melonie Diaz, Madeleine Mantock and Sarah Jeffery – look lovely as they arrive for the 2018 CW Network Upfront held at The London Hotel on Thursday morning (May 17) in New York City.

The on-screen sisters were joined at their first Upfront event by Legacies‘ stars Danielle Rose Russell and Matt Davis.

Charmed, a reboot of the late 90s series, will focus on the sisters, who discover they are witches. Between vanquishing supernatural demons, tearing down the patriarchy, and maintaining familial bonds, a witch’s work is never done.

Legacies will center on teenage Hope (Russell) in Mystic Falls at the Salvatore Boarding School for the Young and Gifted.

In case you missed the news, The CW has revised its fall schedule. The Originals series premiere will now air on Thursday, October 3 @ 9PM before moving to its regular time slot on Tuesday, October 8 @ 8PM.

Meanwhile, Reign will now launch on Thursday, October 17 @ 9PM, a week later than previously announced.
