Castle‘s final promo of the season, which is also Stana Katic‘s last episode as Beckett, has just been released.

Stana was shockingly let go from the show for “budgetary reasons” last month, and, if the show is renewed, she will not be returning. Nathan Fillion, meanwhile, has inked a new deal and will be back if ABC chooses to give the show a ninth season.

From the looks of this promo, it seems like Beckett’s life is in danger, prompting fans to wonder if Stana will actually be killed off of the show.

Here’s the synopsis for the upcoming episode, which will air on May 16: “With their best lead in hand, Castle and Beckett are ready to take on LokSat. But an unforeseen twist puts their case – and their lives – in jeopardy.”

After Stana Katic‘s shocking removal from Castle, co-star Nathan Fillion has inked a new deal that will bring him back for season nine.

ABC has not yet decided whether the show will be picked up for a ninth season, and the network has until today to make their final call, Deadline reports. The season finale is set to air on May 16, and there are two different scenes that could air if the episode is actually the series finale.

Stana was forced to leave the show for budgetary reasons.

Nathan Fillion has released a statement about his long-time co-star Stana Katic leaving Castle for “budgetary reasons.”

“Castle has been one of the greatest joys of my creative life, and I hope the show continues on for years to come. Stana has been my partner all this time, and I thank her for creating the character of Beckett who will live on for all of us as one of the greatest police officers on television. I wish her well, and have no doubt she will succeed in everything she pursues. She will be missed,” Nathan wrote on his Twitter account.

Castle has not yet been renewed for a ninth season, but it is expected to return. Stana had signed a one-year contract extension, but ABC decided not to renew.

Nathan Fillion reportedly has a new love in his life – Krista Allen!

“They met a few months ago through friends and it’s going really well. He’s met her son and they get along,” a source told Us Weekly about the new couple.

Krista, who recently played the hot mom on The CW’s Significant Mother, has previously dated George Clooney. She has been married twice before and has an 18-year-old son named Jake with her first husband, production manager and producer Justin Moritt.

Neil Patrick Harris is all smiles while stepping out for the Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog Reunion held during the 2015 PaleyFest New York at The Paley Center for Media on Saturday (October 10) in New York City.

The 42-year-old actor and TV host was joined by his former co-stars Nathan Fillion and Felicia Day, in addition to the show’s creator Joss Whedon.

According to Variety, Joss says he made more money from the 2008 Internet musical than he did from writing and directing Marvel’s Avengers!
