The 43-year-old actor recently chatted with GQ UK about the similarities between his new film Olympus Has Fallen and the recent situation in North Korea.

“We were very careful to make it not necessarily about North Korea, but a very focused radical organization with their own complex motivations,” Gerard said. “In the movie we present North Korea as it is: it’s a dangerous opponent, and it is aggressive, but it doesn’t instigate this attack.”

The 43-year-old star of the film attended a photo call for the flick earlier in the day.

“I feel like I’ve come out of a string…of bad-luck movies. Sometimes my fault, but other times not my fault,” Gerard told The Independent. “I can’t specify a movie, but there was one where I just think it was the wrong director, and another where the director had to be taken off the film because he basically had Alzheimer’s. And if you make a few movies in Hollywood that don’t make a lot of money, you’ve got to be careful.”

Gerard Butler and Aaron Eckhart are super serious at the photo call for their film Olympus Has Fallen held at the Hotel Bernini on Friday (April 5) in Rome, Italy.

The 43-year-old actor was spotted the evening before leaving the Groucho Club and heading to another club with some female pals in London, England.

“I broke two little bones in my neck. My arm turned black from getting punched in my arm for literally two days. It looked like a dead person’s arm, it was weird,” Gerard told the Daily Record about filming the flick. Yikes!!

Gerard Butler and Aaron Eckhart suit up for the UK premiere of their new film Olympus Has Fallen on Wednesday (April 4) at the BFI IMAX Theatre in London, England.

The guys attended a Q&A session at the Apple store in London the day before to help promote the flick, in theaters now!

“Man down,” Gerard wrote on Facebook along with a picture of his Blackberry sitting in a bowl of rice. Looks like he dropped it in water by accident!
