The upcoming Ben Lewin-directed film, which will be released in theaters, on Demand, on Amazon Video and on iTunes on January 26, 2018, premiered its official trailer on Tuesday (December 5).

Here’s a plot summary: a young autistic woman runs away from her caregiver in order to boldly go and deliver her 500-page Star Trek script to a writing competition in Hollywood. On an adventure full of laughter and tears, Wendy (Fanning) follows the guiding spirit of Mr. Spock on her journey into the unknown.

The movie also co-stars Toni Collette, Alice Eve and Patton Oswalt.

Congratulations are in order for Patton Oswalt and Meredith Salenger – they’re married!

The 48-year-old Veep actor and the 47-year-old Hollywood Heights actress tied the knot on Saturday (November 4) at the Jim Henson Company lot in Los Angeles, Us Weekly reports.

The couple announced their engagement back in July, just 15 months after Patton‘s first wife Michelle McNamara passed away unexpectedly in her sleep. Patton and Michelle had one child, an eight-year-old daughter named Alice.

Patton and Meredith went public with their relationship at the premiere of Baby Driver back in June.

Patton Oswalt is slamming the haters for commenting on his engagement to his girlfriend, actress and comedian Meredith Salenger just fifteen months after his first wife, Michelle McNamara passed away.

It appears as if Patton and Meredith received some hate from trolls over the length of time he waited until becoming engaged. Patton reposted a blog by a young widow named Erica Roman who came to his defense.

“This is so amazing. And SO well-written. I expected some bitter grub worms to weigh in (anonymously, always always always) with their much-needed opinions when I announced my engagement last week. And I decided to ignore them…But yeah, I felt this rage. And Erica articulated it better than I could have ever hoped. So there you go,” Patton wrote on Facebook, adding, “Thank you, Erica.”

Patton Oswalt is reportedly engaged to his girlfriend, actress and comedian Meredith Salenger.

The pair made their debut a few weeks ago at the Baby Driver premiere in Los Angeles.

A source told People their romance is “new and they’re very happy…They met through mutual friend Martha Plimpton. They started chatting as friends and it blossomed from there.”

Patton Oswalt is sharing his emotional thoughts a year after the unexpected passing of his wife Michelle McNamara.

The 48-year-old actor took to his Facebook to pen a touching note about the morning his wife passed away and how he is moving on.

“I’m one year into this new life — one I never even imagined, and I can imagine some pretty pessimistic and dark contingencies, some stomach-freezing “what ifs.” But not this one. This one had such a flat, un-poetic immediacy. The world gazes at you like a hungry but indifferent reptile when you’re widowed,” he wrote.

Patton went on to explain how he and his eight-year-old daughter Alice celebrate Michelle‘s life, what they are doing on the anniversary and why he’s taking off his wedding ring.
