Amazon is reportedly contemplating reboots for around a dozen hit movies and series that were owned by MGM after acquiring the studio.

If you were unaware, Amazon Studios purchased the rights to MGM for $8.5 billion in early 2022. Just over a year later, details are emerging about how they plan to incorporate some of the classics they now own into their release schedule.

That includes conversations about the future of franchises such as Legally Blonde and Robocop.

Check out Joel Kinnaman fully suited up in this brand new trailer for his new film RoboCop!

The film also stars Abbie Cornish, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson, Jay Baruchel, and many more.

Here’s a synopsis: In 2028 Detroit, when Alex Murphy (Kinnaman) – a loving husband, father and good cop – is critically injured in the line of duty, the multinational conglomerate OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer.

In the film, the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Overseas, their drones have been used by the military for years – and it’s meant billions for OmniCorp’s bottom line. Now OmniCorp wants to bring their controversial technology to the home front, and they see a golden opportunity to do it.

When Alex Murphy (Kinnaman) – a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit – is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer. OmniCorp envisions a RoboCop in every city and even more billions for their shareholders, but they never counted on one thing: there is still a man inside the machine pursuing justice.

Abbie Cornish, Michael Keaton, Gary Oldman, Jackie Earle Haley, Jay Baruchel, and Samuel L. Jackson also star in the film, directed by Jose Padilha.

Abbie Cornish is the center of attention while attending a panel for her upcoming flick RoboCop during the 2013 Comic-Con International at San Diego Convention Center on Friday (July 19) in San Diego, Calif.

The 30-year-old Australian actress was joined by her co-stars Joel Kinnaman, Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson, and director Jose Padilha.

“I liked looking at it. Can’t say that I loved wearing it,” Joel shared about his RoboCop suit.

Olivia Munn and her boyfriend Joel Kinnaman stock up on some food products at a local grocery store on Sunday (May 19) in Hollywood.

The 32-year-old actress is featured showing off her bangin’ bikini body in the June/July issue of Esquire magazine, on newsstands May 31. Here is what she had to share with the mag:

On nerdiness: “All the kids were cliqued up. I would end up eating with the old librarians.”

On being smart, funny, and beautiful: “In my life, I moved around a lot… you’re constantly the new kid, because you’re a military family. Oklahoma, Utah, Japan, different parts of Japan – and humor and being self-deprecating and sarcastic was the thing that could break ice in every situation. And so it’s a very antiquated idea to think that you can’t be pretty and smart and funny.”

On being the cover of Maxim: “When I was on The Daily Show and there was this Web site that wanted to criticize me, saying, How could she be on the cover of Maxim and be on this smart show? So I did the cover of Maxim again. Because, you know what? Don’t you want for your own daughters to grow up and be smart and funny and beautiful and embrace their sexuality?”

Joel Kinnaman gets back into his costume for reshoots on his upcoming action flick Robocop on Saturday (May 11) in Vancouver, Canada.

The 33-year-old actor is playing the title role in the film about a fatally wounded cop in a crime-ridden city who returns to the force as a powerful cyborg with submerged memories haunting him.

Joel Kinnaman is all suited up on the set of his upcoming action flick Robocop on Sunday (October 21) in Toronto, Canada.

The 32-year-old actor filmed scenes on his character’s motorcycle and looked relaxed while leaning back and taking a break between scenes.

It was recently reported that Joel is in talks to star opposite Benedict Cumberbatch in a film about Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. Joel would play Assange‘s right hand man.
