Justin Bieber, Skillrex, and Diplo open up about their collaboration on “Where Are U Now” in this new interview.

The 21-year-old entertainer talked with the New York Times about how the track came together and how it started off as a ballad.

“Now, being 21 and going through some hardships, I think that you can hear that in my vocals, you can hear that through the emotion of my voice,” he said.

Justin also opened up about why he chose to work with the duo, also known as Jack U.

“I was like Diplo? Skrillex? I don’t really know if that’s where I want to go, and they did it, and I was just like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is blowing my mind,’” he said.

Justin Bieber‘s brand new music video for his song “Where Are U Now” with Skrillex and Diplo has arrived!

The video comes with an explanation from Jack Ü about the inspiration for the footage.

“We are being overwhelmed, in a good way, by the success of ‘Where Are Ü Now’ with Justin Bieber, so with the video we wanted to just take it back to the beginning of the record & essentially create an ode to our fans,” the guys said in a statement.

“Doing what we do, it’s entirely all about the fans. We walk a fine line by being ‘famous’ and in the public eye but we are only here because of you, the fans,” they continued. “Justin wrote this record during a tough time in his life and it comes to us that sometimes, as artists, we are also just objects and we have to take that as much as we have to use that to create. We all do this for you, respect that you put us here and it’s Ü that made the video.”

Justin Bieber rocks a white cap while visiting Hits 97.3 radio station on Monday (March 30) in Miami, Fla.

The 21-year-old entertainer was joined by Diplo and Skrillex.

Justin recently opened up about the challenges that he faced with teenage superstardom.

“Just use your head, you’ll understand that my life is not easy. Not having privacy. Growing up in front of the cameras since I was 13, 14,” Justin told USA Today.

Diplo and Skrillex have joined forces as Jack Ü and dropped a brand new album out of the blue!

Just before midnight on Friday (February 27), the producers both tweeted a link to iTunes, which was for their new collaborative album Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ü

Justin Bieber is back with some brand new music – listen to Skrillex and Diplo‘s new song “Where Are U Now” featuring the pop star himself!

The song is featured on the new surprise album Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack U, which is now available on iTunes.

“Justin wrote this song in the studio one night just vibin out…” Scooter Braun wrote on Instagram about the song. “I ran into wes aka Diplo at a club and told him I had this great song and vocal by JB and we were figuring out what to use it for. Madonna hits the DJ booth alongside Diplo while attending the Jeremy Scott Fashion Week After Party held at Space Ibiza on Wednesday night (September 10) in New York City.

The 56-year-old singer was also joined at the party by Skrillex. Lots of one named entertainers together at once!

Also in attendance at the party were Orange Is the New Black stars Taryn Manning and Dascha Polanco, who was sporting some new fierce purple hair. Check it out in the gallery below.

Skrillex hits the red carpet at the 2013 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 10) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The 25-year-old musician was joined on the carpet by Diplo and Kaskade.

Skrillex is nominated for Best Dance Recording for his song “Bangarang” as well as Best Dance/Electronica Album for his album of the same name. Diplo is nominated for Producer of the Year. Kaskade is also nominated for Best Dance/Electronica Album for his album “Fire & Ice”.

The night before, the EDM musicians attended a secret pre-Grammy event supporting Dance (RED) Save Lives.

(RED) was founded in 2006 by Bono and Bobby Shriver to engage businesses and people in the fight against AIDS and in just six years, (RED) has has generated more than $200 million for the Global Fund to support HIV/AIDS grants in Africa.
