Gary Oldman Joins 'Woman in the Window' Cast with Amy Adams

Gary Oldman has joined the cast of the upcoming movie The Woman in the Window, based on the best-selling book of the same name by A.J. Finn.

The 60-year-old Oscar-winning actor will be playing the father of the mysterious family that lives across the street from Amy Adams‘ character, according to THR.

The story “centers on a child psychologist (Adams) with severe agoraphobia (and a penchant for mixing alcohol with her medication) who hasn’t left her house in months. The woman witnesses a horrible crime involving a new neighboring family but no one, including the police, will believe her. And she has doubts herself.”

Julianne Moore is in talks to play the mother of the family.

Julianne Moore may be joining the hot, upcoming film the Woman In the Window, which is based off of the best-selling book by the same name from author A.J. Finn.

Amy Adams has already joined the film to play a child psychologist with agoraphobia who hasn’t gone outside in months. The character also has a knack for mixing alcohol with her medication.

Julianne would play the mom of the mysterious son from across the street, THR reports.

Joe Wright is set to direct the film, which has a screenplay from Tracy Letts.

Amy Adams will be taking on the leading role in The Woman in the Window, Variety reports.

The film will tell the story of Dr. Anna Fox, a recluse who is no longer able to go outside. She spends her days spying on neighbors, and things take a turn when she seems something she shouldn’t.

The movie is based on the book of the same name by A.J. Finn, which became a best seller when it was published in January of 2018. The book debuted at number one on the New York Times‘ best seller list.
