Kris Allen Talks Future Album

Kris Allen sings the national anthem before Game Two of the 2009 NBA Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Orlando Magic at LA’s Staples Center on Sunday (June 7).

The 23-year-old American Idol champ officially signed a record deal with 19 Recordings/Jive Records and it was announced his debut album will be released this fall.

“As exciting as the last few months have been, I’m really looking forward to what is next,” Kris said in a statement. “Everyone’s been asking me what [my album's] going to sound like. It will be very similar to what you heard from me on the show — definitely in the pop/rock genre. I can’t wait to get started!”
