Ricky Martin Meets with Uruguayan President

Ricky Martin shows off his Uruguayan national football team jersey before a press conference on Wednesday (August 31) in Montevideo, Uruguay.

The 39-year-old Puerto Rican singer met with the country’s president, Jose Mujica, to discuss his campaign against child slavery and sex trade.

“I received an invitation from the presidency, and of course it is an honor to speak,” Ricky said (via Advocate). “If I can talk with leaders who believe in equality, how could I not do [that].”
