OlderJennifer Lawrence Is 'Remarkable' in 'Hunger Games'
Jennifer Lawrence picks up a bag of groceries from the market on Tuesday (February 21) in Los Angeles.
The 21-year-old actress is back in the States after visiting Mexico, where she promoted her upcoming action flick, The Hunger Games.
“She is so good, it’s silly. Seriously, I just want to write her parents a thank-you letter for creating Jennifer Lawrence. Once a generation, you find this kind of talent,” director Gary Ross recently told MTV News.
“The stuff she does in the tracker jacker sequence is incredible,” he added. “The stuff in the cave with Peeta, she’s just remarkable in there. Obviously, from the trailer, you’ve seen what she does in the Reaping, the commitment, and how about the little girl Willow [Shields], who plays Prim? The commitment Jen has, the bravery, the incredible control over what she’s doing, she’s just remarkable.”

I like Jennifer and I thnk she’s a good actress and has a great career ahead of her but she is overrated and this Gary Ross guy is a moron for inflating her to promote the movie because even if she’s very very very good on it, the movie looks like something from the Syfy channel and this could have been great but he made it Twilight 2.0.

Nope. It is illegal for critics to compare actors. You are a stupid liar. I love Jennifer but she will need to play in 20+ movies to even be the same caliber as Meryl Streep. Ive been following Jens career since Sundance. Trust me, she is talented for he age but no where near as much hype they build around her.

@jenfan: No, I agre with John n this one. She’s talented but she’s balnd at times and if you saw First Class, that conversation she has with beast when she says “You’re beautiful” that was so bad. She’s good at “warrior type” roles, like the one she got a nom for because she’s got a great personality and that’s why she fits Katniss but she’s no Meryl Streep. No young actress is Meryl STreep. The only person that comes close is Jessica Chastain for their acting techniques and their on screen presence. Jen is great but she lacks presence at times when she’s not the heroin.
