Helen Mirren: Film Needs More Women Behind the Cameras
Helen Mirren is radiant in a purple lace gown as she accepts a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2012 Karlovy Vary International Film Festival held in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic.
The 66-year-old English actress called for more women to work behind the cameras in her acceptance speech, according to THR.
“Things have moved on, but as far as I’m concerned, they haven’t moved on enough,” Helen said. “I don’t know how many female directors are presenting their films in this festival. I very much doubt that it’s 50%. Not too many, I’m sure.”
FYI: Helen is wearing Dolce&Gabbana.

Ah shaddup
I would love to age as gracefully as Helen Mirren.
Oh shut up! Why is she making it sound like women have absolutely no rights in Hollywood? Be quiet! So dumb!
