OlderNaomi Watts: Brunette for 'Diana'!
Naomi Watts goes brunette for her role as Princess Diana in the upcoming biopic on the life of the late royal, Diana, on Tuesday (August 14) in London, England.
The 43-year-old actress was joined on set by Lost actor Naveen Andrews, who is playing Diana‘s love Dr. Hasnat Khan.

Naomi is a great actress, but c’mon, she is too old to play Diana is she not? Age is more important than resemblance, I think.

Naomi lacks the charisma that Diana had. All of the stills with her in them lack Diana’s presence. She is playing Diana yet seems to have missed out on her essence. Gonna be an embarrassing movie for Naomi.
Are they kidding? Naomi Watts is one of the dullest actresses ever, and she has nowhere near the grace and poise of Diana. This is a horrible choice. I wonder who she slept with to get this role because I cannot imagine here being someones first choice. Bleh!

Wow…i’ve never seen Naomi Watts as a brunette before! She looks really lovely. i still think she’s a great actress and people should stop saying she looks nothing like Dianna because that’s obviously not the whole point of the film.
@Maria: Yeah, they should cast Beyonce for this movie, resemblance means nothing when you make a movie about such an iconic person. LOL
I like Naomi, I too think she is too old to play Diana now (like Nicole Kidman who is too old to play Princess Grace). But Naomi does have good acting chops, so hoping that she does a great job and makes us forget the age and height issues and miscasting.
That said, don’t remember Diana ever being a brunette (maybe she wore it as a disguise?). But Naomi should consider going brunette, she looks great and makes her edgier, less cookie-cutter blond.
