Seth MacFarlane: Ryan Lochte Parody on 'SNL'!

Saturday Night Live‘s season opener host Seth MacFarlane brought the funny in this impersonation of Olympian Ryan Lochte during last night’s Weekend Update sketch.

“I was America in Olympics,” the 38-year-old host poked fun during the sketch when asked what he did this past summer. Seth then went on to chat about his (Ryan‘s) fall TV picks.

“Having a blast rehearsing SNL- writers, cast & crew are outrageously talented class acts all-around.” Seth tweeted about the show.

WHAT DO YOU THINK of Seth MacFarlane’s Ryan Lochte impression on Saturday Night Live??

    Stupid and Mean.
SNL has gone to new lows.
Mocking an Olympic athlete who dedicated his life to the sport is GROSS.

@NYC: Maybe if he weren’t such a FAMEWHORE, people wouldn’t be making fun of him? Is anybody making fun of Phelps? NO!

I just got paid $6784 working off my laptop this month. And if you think that’s cool, my divorced friend has twin toddlers and made over $9k her first month. It feels so good making so much money when other people have to work for so much less. This is what I do, http://Fox46.com

I don’t think it was that funny considering who they were mocking. I have no problem with Ryan, but lets face it, there is a plethora of funnier material they coud have used. Andy Samberg would have done much better.

Ryan invites to be ridiculed? He is desparately seeking fame and money in a post olympic glory, JMO

I would have written a better script. At least Seth made one or two grammatical sense in the sketch.

I didn’t mind them spoofing him because hes basically asking for it with the attention he wants and has been getting, but he’s not “that” slow. Some of the stuff wasn’t funny to me because I really couldn’t see him saying or doing most of it.

I’ve seen him on several talk shows and it is always the same questions and answers. It’s all so superficial and no depth is coming out. I would rather hear not so eloquent truths, than tedious, dull manufactured answers his reps tell him to say. I am surprised no one ever asks him about the public perception that he is dumb. He could even address it on Twitter. He might have come off as a douch e before, but it’s better than coming off as dumb, which he often does trying to stick to the script. His reps are not letting any personality shine through and it’s making him appear even worse than he probably is.

    @Yohji: You’re a loser.
Obviously, you never trained for a thing in your life because if you did, you wouldn’t be so quick to judge. I am so sick of the losers in this world who do absolutely nothing and then judge everyone so quickly.
Disgustingly negative. Get a life. To be an Olympic gold medalist is momentous. I’d like to see you do it.
    haha.

Seth MacFarlane did a awesome job last night. I haven’t laughed that much during a episode of SNL in a while. & to think everyone was worried that this season would suck because Wiig & Samberg were gone. (then again it is only the first ep back) But I have high hopes.

As for @NYC I think you need some Gangnam Style in your life.

Who watches SNL anymore, what a stale show, like TV needs another NYC centric left wing hack show….SNL should have been cancelled10 years ago.

This is real comedy, folks. This skit was funny.
I love Ryan. I love the skit. I don’t think it was
so negative. Ryan is part of pop culture now, more
than before. He got his SNL skit. And let’s face it. Ryan is intriguing.
He is so incredibly beautiful and yet, he seems so clueless about the world around him. I don’t fault him for anything though. He is different.
I kind of like that. People who meet him in person seem to like
him even more after personal interaction. He is so harmless.
I hope he has a sense of humor. If not, he might feel
a little down, not just for the skit but because of the hate coming from
the jealous people….Although he is a world class competitor, though. These dudes are tough.
