Adam Levine: Christina Aguilera Should Be Left Alone!

Adam Levine claps his hands while chatting with Ellen DeGeneres on her hit show The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing Monday (November 12).

The 33-year-old Maroon 5 frontman explained why he defended fellow judge and friend Christina Aguilera from critics and shared his experience while filming both season three and season four of The Voice.

“It’s a very basic thing. She [Christina] should be left alone. No one should bother or haggle her about her weight or anything that she does or says. So, that’s it. That’s how I feel about that,” Adam said.

Poor he has to explain Christina’s is nobody’s business and if someone should have a problem with her weight it’s herself, and if she doesn’t that means she feels confortable in her own skin which is perfect, women should be happy with their bodies even if they’re not a size 0.

Victoria’s Secret string of models aside (I guess it’s his personal life, and he can do pretty much whatever he pleases), …I love him!

I stumbled upon some interesting information. Though Adam pretended not to know Cassadee Pope (one of the contestants) during this season’s Blind Auditions, I’m sure they knew each other prior to the show. I find it shady how Adam asked Cassadee to clarify her name. Here’s the connection: James Valentine, the lead bass player for Maroon 5, is dating Ali Tamposi who is Cassadee’s roommate. At her blind audition, Ali was there on camera with Cassadee’s friends and family. Since they are both from Florida and Ali has pictures posted on her Twitter account of both of them dating back at least a year, it’s likely that they have known each other for a long time. Given this connection, it’s obvious that from the get go Cassadee had an unfair advantage. She’s obviously talented so I won’t take that away from her. Also, with Blake and Adam’s close friendship, I question if Blake was aware of Cassadee and Adam’s connection prior to the Blind Auditions. If so, it’s certainly possible that the plan all along was for Blake to turn his chair and for Cassadee to choose him as her coach. Also, given her genre of music, Blake is not the obvious choice. And if she chose Adam, that would be a definite nightmare for the authenticity of the show if this connection became known. Obviously, now that the Live Rounds are taking place and she was voted in by the fans, her talent is not as questionable. But, would she have gotten this far in the competition without Adam’s possible help? I am a huge fan of Adam’s and Maroon 5. I actually met him very, very briefly when he was on David Letterman in June. I’m just really disappointed in him for acting so phony and shady. He always claims to be so authentic and straightforward. He even provided some lame feedback on Cassadee’s first live performance I believe in order to make it look like he is not being bias. I love the show and watch religiously but again I was really disappointed because the quality of the contestants this season is amazing. I just wonder if someone more talented lost out due to this unfair advantage. But, I guess this is life and it’s not always fair. And also, most of the time it does come down to who you know, especially in this industry when it’s so hard to be a success. I have to admit that I am very envious of some of these singers’ ability – i.e. Amanda Brown and Terry McDermott. I can’t carry a tune if my life depended on it. I just hope in my next that I come back as a rock star – a successful rock star…..thanks for reading my 2 cent comments.

I have always wondered about that too. Nothing to take away from Cassadee, since she is obviously talented. But why pretend not to know her? I am sure he does. In fact i have wondered about last seasons Tonny Lucca too since he and Sara Bareilles knew each other and Sara and Adam are clearly close. In fact i wonder if that was the reason he picked Tony over Katrina, when the audience choice was clearly with Katrina.
I have always liked him for being frank and straight forward but off late he seems too wavering in his opinions. Like how he said he was a Democrat, got into a twiiter war with a Republican supporter and said he wasnt into any party, that he was neutral then went back to Obama. Same with him blasting those celebrity perfumes then endorsing one himself !
