2013 Grammys Ratings Down From 2012's Record High

The ratings for the 2013 Grammy Awards are in, and even though they are huge numbers, they are still down sharply from last year’s record high audience.

The music-filled awards show delivered 28.37 million viewers throughout the night and a demo rating of 10.1/25, down from 39.9 million viewers and a 14.1/32 demo rating.

Last year’s ceremony was fueled by the shocking death of Whitney Houston the night before and the tribute performances given during the show.

Well, when your show opens with the horrible Taylor Swift performing one of her stupid teen drama songs, you’d stop watching, too.

Taylor Swift isn’t Grammy, or Golden Globe material I don’t how she got nominated but I think since she’s a seller they go for her but she isn’t all that I’m not going to lie I love (We Never Ever Getting Back Together) catchy but not Grammy worthy but she won oh well, but I have seen so much better. The only reason she gets all these awards because she sells and her fan base good things don’t get me wrong but not worthy enough in my eyes.

Honestly, it’s become a popularity contest. When “Somebody I Used To Know” is given award (a simple song!) that’s when I was done with it. I liked Taylor’s opening and I don’t think anyone really gives her credit. Obviously she’s “something” if she has fans that adore her.

@Sam: “Obviously she’s “something” if she has fans that adore her.”

Correction, she has a bunch of young girl fans who adore her because they also are single and feel burned by love or the geek who can’t get her dream guy. She makes relatable songs for lonely girls. That’s it.
