Matt Smith: Shirtless & Shaved Head for Ryan Gosling Movie

Matt Smith shows off his slim shirtless body on the set of the new film How to Catch a Monster on Thursday (May 9) in Detroit, Mich.

The 30-year-old actor, who lost his signature Doctor Who floppy hair for a shaved head, was seen giving his director Ryan Gosling a hug while prepping for a scene.

I don’t think there is going to be much point watching Doctor Who without Matt Smith on it next season … he really was the show.

@eternalozzie:

He still is, not was. He didn’t leave the show and he will be there for the next season (and probably another one). He is doing this movie now because the shooting for new DH season won’t start until setember or so. He will have a few months to grow his hair back.

Duh, it got picked up by WB, it’s directed by Ryan Gosling. Even if it sucks, it’s going to make bank, because of Ryan Gosling’s popularity.
