Rotten Tomatoes has WWZ at 74% fresh out of 66 critics; 66% fresh from top critics.
Gonna see WWZ but probably not for a couple of weeks coz I’m going to be travelling in places where the movie isn’t showing or is going to show heavily censored. Mores the pity.

So sad about James Gandolfini.  Here is a nice interview with Brad & James from last fall re: Killing Them Softly:

In an interview with “Nightline” anchor Cynthia McFadden, Pitt and co-star James Gandolfini talked about starring in the new film, “Killing Them Softly,” which is out in theaters on Friday. Both actors play hit men, two old friends hired to chase down a group of wannabe criminals who decide to knock over a mob-protected card game.

I believe Brad and AJ were friends of J Gandolfini, they went and saw him in a play(?) last year.

hmmm not sure which is the latest thread so reposting this here…

My sister and I just came back from the screening of World War Z. After all the surprise appearances that Brad was making, we were hoping he would show up. After all, we got to see Angie for the Anderson Cooper taping! Now we just need to see Brad. But NOOOOO he wasn’t there. We knew he wouldn’t he would show up after reading Passing Through saying he was on his way to Russia for the premiere. BUT we thought maybe just MAYBE he will do a quick surprise. Nope! Another time Brad! Anyway the movie was great. Go see it. I was jumping out of my seat for most of the movie.

the druggie sucks at comedy, and to think this is only an attempt to get people to watch his stinkbomb Waterworld Z… Henry Cavill is virtually unknown and didn’t have to humiliate himself in order for Man of Steel to become a hit. I’d feel sorry for Pitty if I didn’t know he’s a POS.

  • Passing Through

Holy shite! I just saw the news about James Gandolfini dying in Italy. I can’t believe he was only 51. I thought he was about 60 when I saw him in KTS with Brad. I can’t help but wonder if he had a heart attack. The story I read said nothing further was known, but given his height to weight ratio I can’t help but wonder.

STFU troll. MOS was sold on the name of Nolan who was behind the Batman comeback. Everyone knows this. No one will know the actor in MOS 10 years from now.

That was genuinely hilarious. Loved Brad’s yodeling “body language.”

According to the linguistic school of historians at BYU, the Hebrew “high shift” period began in the German Swiss alps, due north of Venice. And then it worked it’s way over to the German Highlands around Austria and Bavaria, and also the Black Forest area. [Think Colorado meets Utah.]

IMO I always thought Brad Pitt was great but not really used ever for comedy. he did so well playing that funny role in Burn After Reading, too bad he can’t go back to that. it’s all action movies.
