Hugh Jackman: New 'X-Men' Has 'The Best Script of All of Them'

Hugh Jackman holds onto a cup of Starbucks coffee as he heads to the gym with a friend for his daily workout on Tuesday (February 25) in New York City.

The 45-year-old actor recently opened up about being able to play Wolverine again for his highly anticipated film X-Men: Days of Future Past.

“I feel blessed to have this part. I never thought in a million years I’d get to play him seven times,” Hugh expressed (via Den of Geek). “I get to walk on set with the claws and the hair, and I thank my lucky stars. I don’t take anything for granted.”

“To think that the seventh movie has this cast and this director, and I would say the best script of all of them, it’s pretty amazing,” Hugh continued. “That’s why I’m still here. I’m sure, by the way, that it won’t always be my decision to be here. At some point someone will close the door on me. That will happen. But for now I’m very happy.”

No. No more of this utter trash. Everyone associated with these films need to retire for at least 10 years. Thank you.

Absolutely not! The storyline is awesome! Everything after X-men 3 and Origins – Wolverine has been sailing along beautifully. Keep it coming. Can’t wait to see Bishop. If the CGI is relevany, I’d love to see an Apocalypse movie.

I’m a Hugh Jackman fan but he’s making this movie out to be the best film to come out of Hollywood. With all his talk it had better be pretty damn close.

@Verity: So, in order to please people like you he had to say that this movie is rubbish? It’s pretty obvious that an actor, each actor with a film in upcoming release, refers in a positive way about his work, also as a sign of respect towards: his colleagues, the director and the hundreds of people who have worked with him.
One question: why nobody says that Mr.Jackman declined his remuneration for his cameo role in Days of Future Past, preferring to donate the entire fee to the school attended by his two children? Oh, yeah…right …this news does not affect, because isn’t the usual harmful gossip against him…

@Verity: Well he promotes EVERY film he’s been in as if it were the BEST thing he’s ever done. Remember ‘Australia’? Remember ‘Les Mis’? Remember ‘The Wolverine’? I could go on.. it’s just what he is required to do. I am not a Wolverine fan (only saw the first one and yawned all the way through it), and I have nothing against Wolverine movie fans that want to see more of that, but as an Aussie, I’d like him to spend more time at home filming a contemporary (not period) Aussie film. We have great scriptwriters and crews down here, as he knows. He could do a crime or hospital drama based in Sydney, spend more time with his family & kill two birds with one stone.
