Justin Bieber Charged With Misdemeanor In Egging Case

UPDATE: Justin has accepted a plea deal in the case. Find out if he’ll serve jail time.

Justin Bieber has been charged with a misdemeanor for egging his neighbor’s home, TMZ reports.

The 20-year-old musician, who will be arraigned today but not present, was present during the attack on the home in a video shot by the neighbor and the L.A. County District Attorney have been trying to classify the case as a misdemeanor or felony.

One prosecutor who investigated the case told the victim of the attack, “If this isn’t a felony, nothing is.”

Felonies are more serious crimes that carry much higher penalties (jail term) than misdemeanor. For example, murder or armed robbery are felonies while shoplifting is a misdemeanor.
