Robin Williams Dead - Suspected Suicide, Dies at Age 63
Robin Williams has died at the age of 63.
The Oscar-winning actor and comedian reportedly died from a suspected suicide by asphyxia in Marin County, Calif. A forensic examination is currently set for Tuesday, August 12 with subsequent toxicology testing to be conducted.
“An investigation into the cause, manner, and circumstances of the death is currently underway by the Investigations and Coroner Divisions of the Sheriff’s Office,” the police said in a statement.
The police added, “Preliminary information developed during the investigation indicates Mr. Williams was last seen alive at his residence, where he resides with his wife, at approximately 10:00 pm on August 10, 2014.”
Robin was known for his roles in Good Will Hunting, Dead Poet’s Society, Mrs. Doubtfire. He was recently in the canceled CBS series The Crazy Ones.
Robin won an Academy Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in 1998 for Good Will Hunting.
Last month, Robin entered rehab to maintain his sobriety.
