'The Walking Dead' Returns to Record High Ratings for Season 5 Premiere!

The Walking Dead broke its own record for the most viewers per episode with last night’s season five return!

The hit AMC drama brought in 17.3 million total for Sunday evening’s premiere which beat out the show’s previous record of 16.11 million for its fourth-season high! Congrats to the cast and crew – so amazing!

The show also beat its previous record for adults 18-49, which brought in 11 million last night, beating the 8.2 million brought in from last season’s premiere and mid-season return, Variety reports.
