Julianne Moore & Ellen Page's Gay Rights Drama 'Freeheld' Banned from Filming at Catholic School
Julianne Moore and Ellen Page dress in super casual vintage clothes while filming a scene for their new movie Freeheld on Tuesday (October 21) in New York City.
The ladies changed into different outfits later in the day for a new scene and Ellen wore the same plaid shirt that Julianne wore before! Michael Shannon was also seen on set for the later scene.
The movie recently tried to film a scene at an all-boys Catholic school in a town in the suburbs outside of New York City, but was denied by school administrators.
“I respect their right to say no,” producer Michael Shamberg told BuzzFeed. “But it’s sad.”
Ellen wrote about the decision on her Twitter account. See below!
Using religion to justify bigotry makes me sad. Sending my support 2 the LGBT students at the school who I hope r able 2 find acceptance.
