The song is the fourth song Kelly has dropped from her upcoming album Piece By Piece, which will hit stores on March 3.

“Run Run Run” is a cover of German pop band Tokio Hotel. This isn’t the first time that Kelly and John have worked together. They were judges on the short-lived ABC competition show Duets back in 2012.

Amazing song, but Tokio Hotel is a german band, guys.

  • Gus

Gus: This song sent chills all over. Kelly and John are masterful together. Like Tokio Hotel’s version but it’s Kelly and John’s epic rendition!!!!!!

  • Nia-Alexa Jean

I like more how Tokio Hotel perform the song :)

  • Nemo Waldow

Love the O-song from Tokio Hotel. Mutch better.

  • Mary

Tokio Hotel is a german band LOL

  • Sunshine Divalamb

so much better as TH’s version #SorryNotSorry. Vocally but also you understand the lyrics now

  • Caian Nunes

    OMG that’s really great!

  • Jack

Best song of the 4 released so far. This is the only one that I think has hit potential. It goes a little over the top at the end, but it’s moving nonetheless. I haven’t heard the original version—I’ll have to check that out.

That picture of Kelly and Legend must be pretty old. She does not look like that anymore.

  • Nicky

The original version from Tokio Hotel is way better then this one. Bill sings completely from his heart and soul and with more feelings than anything else, that’s what here is missing. To cover such personal songs is not a good and choice.

    that’s rude.

As always, the different angels – on which a song can be seen and interpreted – are very interesting! I think, this one is a good cover and Kelly Clarkson’s voice as stunning as ever! But for me personally: I prefer the original version of Tokio Hotel. Because I like its pure atmosphere and the reduction, that emphasizes the loneliness and the “broken heart situation”, the song talks about. Whether it is for the video, the composition with piano accompaniment only, the solo or Bill’s voice. Particularly Bill’s voice! Even if I don’t think, his voice is a great one per se, it yet works outstandingly through his ability, to unfold all his emotions in it touchingly. Here you can get an idea of what I mean, if you like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsNys5X1mEo . @billkaulitz – @tokiohotel – @decodeltd – @gianlucafellini .

@justjared – I think, the lyrics you’ve chosen, are not the correct ones. Here you can find a better version, if you like: http://www.metrolyrics.com/run-run-run-lyrics-tokio-hotel.html .

I don’t agree. Noone can sing this song or any other as beautifully as Bill Kaulitz. Kelly/John did a good job – but this song isn’t as powerful without the original singer.

Full disclosure – I am a huge Tokio Hotel fan. I am excited that Kelly Clarkson/John Legend have done a cover of a TH song. And they did a wonderful job. I encourage any of you who haven’t discovered Tokio Hotel yet to check out the songs on their new CD Kings of Suburbia. Run, Run, Run is one of many captivating songs..

At first I was excited to hear that Kelly and John had COVERED one of Tokio Hotel’s songs, but that was before I found out it had made it onto her album. A COVER of a song shouldn’t be on an album. That makes it seem as if she is the original singer of the song, which she’s not. Their COVER of the song is not bad, but I’m irked at the fact that the song is not being promoted as a cover, it’s being promoted as if she wrote the song and it’s just not right.

  • Martin Del Angel

If they have the license to the song, it is not a cover. For example, Kelly covering a song like Stay With Me is a cover. This becomes her song because they bought the liscense for it and the song wasn’t written by TH. Just like Carrie Underwood sang I Told You So (before the duet with Randy) it wasn’t labeled as a cover because it was her song because they had the liscense to it. A cover is like borrowing a song from someone else. When you have the liscense to the song, that is your song. You can say it was originally performed by so and so but this is not a cover.
