Adam Lambert's Wish is for 'Gay To Become Less of a Label'

Adam Lambert is all smiles while heading home after hanging out at The Nice Guy with friends on Tuesday night (March 31) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 33-year-old entertainer recently opened up about advancing gay rights in the music industry.

“I think there’s a simple power in being unapologetic and open about who and what you are and not letting it prevent you from getting what you want,” Adam told HungerTV. “In that way, I think I’ve made a statement. My wish is for gay to become less of a label, and more of just one of many great colors in the collective box of humanity. I’m not a separatist. I’m all inclusive.”

Adam added, “It’s quickly changing along with society. I’m thrilled. We have entered a time with a much more level playing field.”

Never happen Princess. You cannot ask for “special protection” status on one hand and then expect to not be labeled.

This is hypocritical bulls*t propaganda from one of the most intolerant and bigoted demographics in the world. While gays constantly chant about taking pride in being “open about who you are”, the fact is they HATE it when Conservatives or Christians or Pro-Lifers do the same. Gays hate it with a seering, raging, hatred.

I think Adam Lambert is more of a singer than an actor. In fact, I think he is the best pop/rock singer in the world right now.

Firstly, what did Adam’s night-out get to do with the gay label?

Secondly, Adam talked about many other things (such as his new single and new album) in his interview with Hunger TV. So WHY is his sexuality the focus of this article again?

Imagine if we treated people like they were people instead of creating laws that put these labels on people. I’m sure if gay people were treated with the same respect and laws like straight people, there would be no need to have to label people, but they do and have to fight to try to get rights because they are labeled. But guess what, it’s the 21st century and there are states that still have laws that can put gay people in jail or get fired for being gay or be refused service because you are born a specific way. The labels are going to be there until we stop trying to define people and just see humans, Americans, as just that .. a human. Until then, it’s time to fight with all those labels plastered all over.
