Emily Blunt Speaks Out About Rumors That Cannes Requires Women to Wear Heels

The 32-year-old actress and 47-year-old actor were joined by their co-star Benicio Del Toro.

Emily was asked about the rumors that the Cannes Film Festival is requiring women to wear high-heeled shoes to events.

“Ya, that’s very disappointing. To think there are these waves of equality and waves of people discovering that women are so fascinating and interesting to watch and bankable (on screen),” Emily said of the situation. “Everyone should wear flats to be honest. We shouldn’t be wearing high heels anyways. That’s my point of view. I just prefer wearing Converse sneakers.”
