Pippa Middleton & Nico Jackson Split After 3 Years of Dating

Pippa Middleton and her longtime boyfriend Nico Jackson have called it quits after dating for the last three years, according to People.

The 32-year-old younger sister of the Duchess of Cambridge and the 37-year-old banker have not been seen spending too much time together as of recently, but they were spotted last on September 18 in London.

Pippa has been catching up with several of her ex-boyfriends over the last few months. She was seen having lunch with ex Alex Loudon just a few weeks ago and also spent a lot of time with former beau James Matthews during a St. Barts vacation and while competing in the Otillo race in Sweden together.

Good move. When a woman is at a certain age with a biological clock ticking, she should not stay in any relationship hereafter unless it is headed toward marriage, unless she does not care about marriage. If a relationship is not going anywhere quickly , Pippa, in the future, should break it off sooner than later. Also, “playing” at marriage, after a season, is not the real deal and may cause great insecurity.

My guess is Nico could not/would not commit due to realizing he could not support her in a style more commensurate with that her sister is living in.
Feeling any subtle pressure to do so could have “shut him down” at some level. He’ll end up marrying someone who has nowhere near the same connections she has and will be king of his own castle.

She, perhaps, at some level, also realized they weren’t right for each other for the long haul.
Unless a man is a social climber to the nth degree, or already floating in the circles she has access to now, he will not want to be harrassed by the media about any and every move either.
Is James Mathews that person? Time will tell. His family business certainly got a LOT of advertisement when Pippa and her mom and brother went there, and as an Etonian, William would have something in common with him.

Pippa may be her own worst enemy, especially if she is looking too hard for someone who is not obtainable, too. She needs to remember her own father is a real gem and look for someone like him: stable, commited, educated and connected “enough”. If she is looking solely for status, she may come up short and find herself in the same position in 10 years and childless. Do I know what she is looking for? No.

But I speak from experience, having dated two people for five years each before meeting Mr. Right, a man from a stable family who was educated enough and homeloving.Thankfully, with hindsight, I had not lived with either of them and thus went into marriage without a lot of baggage.
