Quentin Tarantino Slams Disney for Pushing 'The Hateful Eight' Out of Theaters for 'Star Wars'

Quentin Tarantino is not happy with Disney.

The 52-year-old director claims the studio forced his film The Hateful Eight out of Hollywood’s ArcLight Cinerama Dome to make room for Star Wars.

“A couple of days ago…the Disney distribution people came down to the ArcLight and said, ‘No, you’re going to break your commitment with The Hateful Eight,” Quentin told EW. “‘You’re going to not give them the theater on Dec. 25. You’re going to play Star Wars throughout the holiday season. And if you don’t, we’re going to pull E – the biggest movie ever made – we’re going to pull it from all the ArcLight theaters. So they actually literally are engaging in extortionist practices against us…They’re coming out to destroy us, to grind us into the gravel.”
