Alden Ehrenreich Lands Young Han Solo Movie Lead

Alden Eihrenreich is the newest lead addition to the Star Wars franchise!

The 26-year-old Hail, Caesar! actor is in final negotiations for the lead role in Disney and Lucasfilm’s upcoming young Han Solo movie, THR reports.

Alden was among 2,500 young men who auditioned for the part and had been on a short list for the role along with Taron Egerton and Jack Reynor.

The movie will be directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who directed 21 Jump Street and Lego Movie.

The young Han Solo spin-off is set to premiere in 2018.
