The decision for Megan to leave the show was “made early on” and before the show was renewed, so her storyline will be wrapped up in the upcoming season eight finale, according to Deadline.
Megan did not appear in eight episodes of season eight due to personal reasons and she finally returned in the April 23 episode.
Now that Megan is leaving the show, the only original cast members to remain are James Spader, Diego Klattenhoff, and Harry Lennix.
Back in 2018, Megan made a big stance about her character after a mass shooting where 17 people were killed by a gunman who used an AR-15.
