Chrissy Teigen & Anna Paquin Slam Piers Morgan for Criticizing Jennifer Aniston's Op-Ed Article
Chrissy Teigen and Anna Paquin are slamming Piers Morgan after he criticized Jennifer Aniston‘s article about tabloids body-shaming her.
The British journalist and former America’s Got Talent judge argued that Jennifer doesn’t have a place writing about the objectification of women as she poses for photos in magazines that are digitally airbrushed.
“There’s another reason why the media objectify and scrutinize famous women, and why little girls get confused about beauty and body image,” Piers wrote in an article for the Daily Mail. “It’s this: female stars like Jennifer Aniston deliberately perpetuate the myth of ‘perfection’ by posing for endless magazine covers which have been airbrushed so much that in some cases the celebrity is virtually unrecognizable.”
Chrissy and Anna weren’t having it and slammed him for his opinion piece.
@piersmorgan saw your piece on Jennifer Aniston. Why do you ALWAYS take the road of being the piece of shit asshole?

@piersmorgan particularly with women and people of color. tell me it's just for clicks?? Please tell me you aren't TRULY this vile.
— christine teigen (@chrissyteigen) July 13, 2016
@piersmorgan I think you aren't this bad & have simply sold your soul for clicks. Which is even sadder than actually believing your garbage

Morning, Ms Teigen. You didn't actually read it did you…? Try doing that before throwing another diva tantrum. https://t.co/rxCHbLT2lH
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) July 13, 2016
@piersmorgan unfortunately, I read it. I'm not so much a diva as I am a person who slows down at car crashes, apparently.
— christine teigen (@chrissyteigen) July 13, 2016
No, my little bundle of hypocrisy, YOU'RE using ME for clickbait.
Now hush before your sanctimonious spleen bursts. https://t.co/Cm4A3uKxXW— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) July 13, 2016
@piersmorgan you're right. It's ME who writes weekly columns demeaning and criticizing women and black people. All me. Goodbye, King troll.
— christine teigen (@chrissyteigen) July 13, 2016
Says the world's biggest, lamest 'celebrity' troll.
Your husband's a genius so I forgive your childish impudence. https://t.co/GFgmWpPyFt— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) July 13, 2016
@piersmorgan my husband thinks you are one of the most misogynistic, condescending morons on the planet but thank you.
— christine teigen (@chrissyteigen) July 13, 2016
Well he married you, so we all have our problems. https://t.co/Q9NmJeVjGT
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) July 13, 2016
@piersmorgan you just cannot stop proving my point.
— christine teigen (@chrissyteigen) July 13, 2016
@piersmorgan You missed the point by about a mile. As you aren't a woman in public eye I respectfully suggest you "think and not say"/jog on
— Anna Paquin (@AnnaPaquin) July 13, 2016
Actually, I saw through the point.
https://t.co/GUojxRlJnx— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) July 13, 2016
@piersmorgan 1) we aren't actually given the option of not being photo shopped. 2) You've never been subjected to this kind of bullying
— Anna Paquin (@AnnaPaquin) July 13, 2016
@piersmorgan You'v clearly never seen pictures of yourself where they have airbrushed half your face off and def never requested it.
— Anna Paquin (@AnnaPaquin) July 13, 2016
@callumeakins @piersmorgan you don't get paid to do magazine covers when doing promo for your work. In fact you are usually obligated.
— Anna Paquin (@AnnaPaquin) July 13, 2016
This is so disingenuous.
You land a big mag cover, you make a fortune in many different ways. https://t.co/Bdt5aCDoPJ— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) July 13, 2016
@piersmorgan the issue of women's representation in print media and pap pics taken for sole purpose of #bodyshaming aren't really same topic
— Anna Paquin (@AnnaPaquin) July 13, 2016
@ShanieDykes @piersmorgan I'm pretty sure nobody has ever called him fat/pregnant for wearing an ill advised outfit to say grocery shop
— Anna Paquin (@AnnaPaquin) July 13, 2016
I get called fat by TV critics every single week. Makes me laugh, mainly because I'm so svelte & handsome.
https://t.co/Y0aGqAsaBp— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) July 13, 2016
@piersmorgan Well I'm truly happy that you have the self esteem to withstand that kind of criticism.
— Anna Paquin (@AnnaPaquin) July 13, 2016
I think the point that is being missed is that #JenniferAniston having a privileged life doesn't mean she doesn't get to react to this crap.
