Taylor Swift's Phone Call with Kanye West About 'Famous' Lyrics Exposed on Kim Kardashian's Snapchat (Video)

Taylor Swift's Phone Call with Kanye West About 'Famous' Lyrics Exposed on Kim Kardashian's Snapchat (Video)

Kim Kardashian just shocked the world by uploading a series of videos to Snapchat, seemingly proving that Kanye West did ask Taylor Swift about certain lyrics in his song “Famous.”

The video starts with Kanye asking Taylor if she still has the same Nashville phone number. Kanye then reads the line that mentions her name in his song “Famous.”

“I think this is a really cool thing to have,” Kanye says about the lyrics. “I know, I mean it’s like a compliment,” she replies.

“What I give a f–k about is you as a person and as a friend. I want things that make you feel good. I don’t want to do rap that makes people feel bad,” Kanye says. Taylor then replies, “Go with whatever line you think is better. It’s obviously very tongue in cheek either way. And I really appreciate you telling me about it. That’s really nice.”

“I just have a responsibility to you as a friend. Thanks for being so cool about it,” he says. She replies, “I really appreciate it. The heads up is so nice…I never would have expected you to tell me about a line in a lyric. And the flowers that you sent me, I Instagrammed a picture of them and it’s the most Instagram likes I’ve ever gotten.”

“Relationships are more important than punchlines, you know,” Kanye says. Taylor then answers, “Yeah, I mean, I don’t think anybody would listen to that and be like, ‘Oh that’s a real bit. She must be crying.’”

If you don’t know about any of the drama, Taylor has made claims that she did not approve of the song before it was released. Kim and Kanye have been adamant that she did know. The drama was discussed on tonight’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians. It’s important to note that in the video Kim posted, we never hear Kanye say the line, “I made that b*tch famous,” which is the line she reportedly did not approve.

Taylor has always adamantly denied approving Kanye‘s song, and Kanye has repeatedly said they discussed it. Taylor once again responded to Kim and Kanye‘s claims, this time it was last month after Kim‘s GQ cover.

I really wanted to hear the tape, but it was removed. Anyways, if Taylor did tell Kanye “Go with whatever line you think is better”, then in this case, Taylor is being sneaky and not being honest whatsoever.

  • devvv

I really dislike Kim, but I 100% respect her for coming through with evidence to defend her husband and show that Taylor Swift is as manipulative as she seems to everyone above the age of 12. She’s so obsessed with being the victim and it finally backfired.

  • El Barto

In the video, does Kanye mention the part about making The Swift famous? I don’t hear it.

  • AprilMay

I saw it on Youtube, and in the video, Kanye doesn’t say ” I made Taylor Swift famous”, but he does say ” I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex”. So, Taylor DID hear that part and she still OKAYED that line and she clearly stated, “whatever line works”. So, CLEARLY she didn’t have a problem, but just wanted to stir up trouble.

  • Kellyp

TAYLOR’S GOOD GIRL IMAGE IS RUINED :)

  • raebzan

C’mon, sheep. You honestly believe anything White Trash With Money would say just to be famous? Nothing on reality TV is real, and I thought y’all were smarter.

  • LOL Blue

So where was Taylor’s warning of the song having a strong misogynistic message?

  • LOL Blue

when she said “Go with whatever line you think is better. It’s obviously very tongue in cheek either way” She basically gave him permission to write anything he wanted.

  • quartzsoup

I thought Taylor’s problem was with the b word. That’s not on any of these snaps, what a fucking fail this family is.

  • Sheyenne Dennis

    Finally!!!

  • LOL Blue

she did say said “Go with whatever line you think is better. when It’s obviously very tongue in cheek either way” She basically gave him permission to write anything he wanted.

  • nanay2girls

so the line that Taylor did not like “made that bitch famous” is not on the video. She never denied the phone call. So what does this prove?

  • TrueBlue73

Kanye never told her about the “other” line. Kim exposed nothing.

  • WhatTheWhat

Yeah but… the part where he says “I made that b*tch famous” isn’t on the recording. How does this prove that Taylor agreed to it?

  • LOL Blue

“Go with whatever line you think is better. It’s obviously very tongue in cheek either way.”

  • LOL Blue

this is important – “Go with whatever line you think is better. It’s obviously very tongue in cheek either way”

  • LOL Blue

what about when she taylor said “Go with whatever line you think is better. It’s obviously very tongue in cheek either way”

  • Dee

this is like….i have to admit some of the best gossip/drama ive heard in a minute. it almost doesnt even matter that he doesnt mention “i made that bitch famoooouuuuus” she literally said she gets that its supposed to be “crass” and to go with wtvr line he thought went best when he mention having sex with her. cmmmoonnn on taylor, u just exposed urself.

  • Zav

    POPCORN..

  • nanay2girls

Well if one of the options was the sex line, and the othee option was the bitch line, wasn’t it sneaky of Kanye to include both? It’s not the smoking gun Kim built it up to be

She says “You have to tell it like you experienced it. You really didn’t know who I was before that”. She then goes on to say something about how much money she had made off of her albums before that “but you didn’t know that then”. She could only be responding to something about him “making” her famous. So even if that line isn’t in this Snap story, I think it’s pretty clear that that’s one of the things she was giving the go-ahead on.

This really proves Taylor’s point. He never mentioned the “I made that bitch famous” line. Once again, Kim fails. Nice job vindicating Taylor, idiot.

  • TrueBlue73

Sounds more like Kanye told her two lines he was considering but the “famous” line was not one of them. The video is conveniently edited or else we’d hear the “famous” line. Kim and Kanye are pulling a fast one. I believe that Swift heard the “I made that b*tch famous” line at the same time the public did.

Since it is illegal in most of the States in United States including California for anyone to Video Tape anyone without their permission and in effect doctored those video tape so as to deceive the mass public and to prove “A Massive Lie” then it is time for the Courts to decide!!! And we all are interested to know why this woman insists on having Ms? Swift’s approval on what was This Lunatic’s independent work!!! Why this woman insists it is alright for her to continue to insist that it is alright for her husband to lust over a young woman almost half his age!!! Team Swift must take this woman to court for trapping and illegally taping someone without their knowledge and using a voice expert to alter the tape to her favor!!! It is time to put these Empty Vessels in jail where they belong!!!

But Taylor said, “Go with whatever line you think is better.”
So I think Kanye added that bitch line because she said “go with whatever line you think is better”. Maybe Kanye thought that line wouldn’t be a problem and he didn’t call her again to inform about that line that perhaps it occurred to him after the call. So there was no second call to inform that line and Taylor freaked out when she first listened to it. I think she could’ve been cool about it, and not make a big deal about it cuz she said “go with whatever line you think is better” or maybe she has a different perspective of what she said haha too much drama, she really loves drama, right? haha it works for her, she sells more everytime the drama is on.

  • TrueBlue73

Where’s the other line? The other line is conveniently edited out. If the purpose was to expose her then why don’t we hear Kanye telling her THAT line? More than likely it was another line he told her he was thinking about using. Another line that she was OK with. The editing speaks for itself.

  • Brink

So this article would have us believe Kim knows how to upload?

  • http://letstalkaboutkristen.blogspot.com/ Lara

Taylor is litigious so let’s hope she sues the fuck out of these two imbeciles. She has a great legal team and has sued before I hope she uses it now

  • devvv

Too bad that was only half of her original statement. Exact quote from her rep when the song was released: “Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message…” Where in the video did he not ask permission? Where in the video did she warn him about releasing it? Where did she talk about the misogynistic message? She may not have known about that one line, but she still lied in her original statement. Nice job calling someone you’ve never met an idiot when they were right.

  • Dan

Taylor’s rep released this statement at the time:

“Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that bitch famous.’”

So yeah she may not have knows about the line, but the statement clearly makes it sound like he didn’t ask for approval at all. Where was the “caution”?

  • TrueBlue73

And the other line they discussed is conveniently edited out. Why edit it out if it supports that Swift approved it? Because it was not the “I made that b*tch famous” line.

  • Cz Gem

Taylor said, “Go with whatever line you think is better. It’s obviously very tongue in cheek either way.”

That proves a point, that she’s being so problematic and dramatic.

  • http://letstalkaboutkristen.blogspot.com/ Lara

This is Kim’s video that she posted, and she clearly edited out a LOT of it, as evidenced by how she selectively didn’t include the “I made that bitch famous” line that Taylor SUPPOSEDLY had endorsed. We have literally no way of knowing if Taylor talked about misogyny- she very well could have, and it’s not like Kim would include it in her hacked together snapchat “expose”

  • TrueBlue73

No, it’s not clear. What is clear is that Kim and Kanye purposely edited the line in question out of the video. Shady, very shady.
