Making a Murderer's Brendan Dassey Will Be Released, Conviction Overturned
Brendan Dassey will be a free man after his conviction was overturned.
The 26-year-old subject of the Netflix documentary series Making a Murderer will be released from prison in 90 days if the States decides not to refile charges against him.
Brendan was sentenced to “41 years in prison on first-degree intentional homicide, second-degree sexual assault, and mutilation of a corpse,” according to Variety.
The Netflix series followed how the police allegedly coerced confessions out of Brendan and planted evidence to charge his uncle Steven Avery for the murder of photographer Teresa Halbach.
