Audi Super Bowl Commercial 2017 Takes On Gender Equality

Audi is committed to equal pay for equal work in their 2017 Super Bowl Commercial!

The German luxury car brand’s big game ad follows a young girl as she competes in a box car derby against all boys. At the end, she walks back with her dad to their Audi sedan.

“What do I tell my daughter?” George Clooney says in a voice over. “Do I tell her that her grandpa is worth more than her grandma? That her dad is worth more than their mom?”

“Do I tell her that despite her education, her drive, her skills, her intelligence, she will automatically be valued as less than every man she ever meets?” he continued.

The video’s caption reads, “Progress is in every decision we make, every technology we invent, every vehicle we build. It’s our past, our future, our reason to exist. Audi of America is committed to equal pay for equal work. A 2016 report by the U.S. Congress Joint Economic Committee found that women were paid 21% less than men on average.”
