Donald Trump Gives His Reason for Not Condemning White Supremacy Right Away

Donald Trump is explaining why it took him several days to condemn white supremacy after the tragic events at Charlottesville over the weekend.

“I wanted to make sure, unlike most politicians, that what I said was correct,” he said.

“You don’t make statements that direct unless you know the facts,” he continued. “It’s a very, very important process to me. I don’t want to go quickly…I want to know the facts.

During his press conference, Trump took questions from reporters, and was continuously calling reporters “fake news.”

In addition, the President then placed some blame on the alt-left counter protesters.

“What about the alt-left that came charging at…the alt-right, do they have any semblance of guilt? They do,” he said.
