ABC Cancels 'The Chew' to Expand 'Good Morning America'

The Chew is coming to an end.

The daytime cooking show has been axed in order to make room for a third hour of Good Morning America, the network revealed on Wednesday (May 23).

The show co-starred Carla Hall, Michael Symon and Clinton Kelly.

The third hour of GMA will air at 1 p.m. ET.

“Over the past six years Good Morning America has solidified its place as America’s No. 1 morning show. We believe there is great opportunity for viewers and advertisers in expanding to a third hour,” said exec Ben Sherwood.
