George Clooney Says Amal Banned Him from Riding Motorcycles

George Clooney is opening up about how his wife Amal banned him from riding motorcycles after his accident last year.

The 57-year-old actor and filmmaker was riding a scooter when a car crashed into him and threw him into the air. He thankfully wasn’t seriously injured.

During an event for his new Hulu series Catch-22 this week, George revealed that he’s no longer allowed to ride the vehicles. His producing partner Grant Heslov‘s wife also placed a ban on motorcycles.

“I’m not allowed to ride motorcycles,” he said (via People). “I got into a really bad accident. I hit a guy at 70 miles an hour on my bike. Got launched. And so that’s, I’m off of bikes. Grant’s off. We screwed up and our wives were like, ‘You can never get on a bike again.’ “
