Ryan Seacrest Was Briefly Denied Entry to Jennifer Lopez's 50th Birthday Party in Miami!

Ryan Seacrest almost missed Jennifer Lopez‘s 50th birthday bash, despite be personally invited by her!

On Thursday morning’s (July 25) episode of Live! With Kelly and Ryan, the 44-year-old co-host revealed that he was briefly denied entry to Jennifer’s party the night before.

“She sent me an invitation and I was like, ‘Wow, I got a direct invitation,’” Ryan shared. “But the catch was, it was in Miami. So I committed, but I didn’t read the small print.”

Ryan went on to say that despite needing to be back in New York City for Live! the following morning, he committed to making an appearance.

“I’ve known her for a long time. I’m going, I’m getting down there,” Ryan continued. “I’m getting back in time and I’m gonna be there because I got the personal invite.”

After arriving in Miami, Ryan made his way to the party a little after 7pm, but apparently his name was missing from the guest list.

“I get to the front … proud, beaming, smiling,” Ryan recalled. “And [the guy] has a list and I see there are a bunch of Ryans … and he says, ‘Well, you’re not on the list.’”

Ryan continued: “So I say, ‘Clearly, there must be a mistake … she invited me personally. Can I see the list?’ Well, sure enough, there’s Ryan T. and Ryan Z., there’s no Ryan Seacrest.”

Ryan said that he tried to explain to the man at the door that he’s known Jennifer for years and they used to work together, but the man told him to “wait under the fan” while he made a phone call.

Eventually, Ryan was allowed in – and was “the first person there” – but because of the tight schedule, he could only stay for half the party.

“I think, ‘I actually got to stay for the party’ … then I realize, because of our job, we miss all the fun,” Ryan joked to co-host Kelly Ripa. “I thought the party was over after the protein on the plate … but apparently they turned it up after [I] left.”
