Alex Trebek Returns to 'Jeopardy!' Following Cancer Treatment

Alex Trebek is back for Jeopardy!‘s season 36 premiere!

The 79-year-old television personality has spent the past few months undergoing chemotherapy after being diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

“I truly hope you folks have enjoyed revisiting some of our special tournaments throughout this past summer. But today, Jeopardy! begins its 36th season on the air and I’m happy to report, I’m still here,” Alex said during the show’s intro on Monday night (September 9).

A few weeks earlier, Alex confirmed that he had finished chemotherapy treatment and was on the mend.
