Rose McGowan Sends Message to Harvey Weinstein As His Sexual Assault Trial Begins

Rose McGowan has a message for Harvey Weinstein.

The 46-year-old actress stepped out for the first day of the 67-year-old disgraced film producer’s sexual assault trail on Monday (January 6) in New York City.

While she waited outside the court house, Rose shared a powerful message with the crowd of survivors and reporters.

“Dear Harvey, no matter what lies you tell yourself, you did this,” Rose said via AOL. “Today, Lady Justice is staring down on a super predator. You brought this upon yourself by hurting so many. You have only yourself to blame. I came here today to see this through. I came here today to stand side by side with these other women who you also harmed and to be a voice for the voiceless…You thought you could terrorize me and others into silence. You were wrong.”

Rose has accused Harvey of raping her back in 1997.

Harvey is facing five charges relating to sexual misconduct — including a count of rape and predatory sexual assault. He as denied all allegations, claiming the various sexual liaisons were all consensual.
