Rege-Jean Page Reacts To 'Krypton' Casting Story That Says He Wasn't Hired Due To His Skin Color
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Rege-Jean Page once auditioned to play Superman’s grandfather in Krypton.
However, he lost out on the role due to his skin color.
According to the report, it was suggested that then-DC Films chairman Geoff Johns shot down the idea of Rege-Jean playing the role because he “said Superman could not have a Black grandfather” and that he had “believed fans expected the character [of Superman’s grandfather] to look like a young Henry Cavill.”
Now, Rege-Jean is opening up about the story and shared his reaction to the apparent reason.

“Hearing about these conversations hurts no less now than it did back then. The clarifications almost hurt more tbh,” he wrote.
Rege-Jean then added that he’s “still just doing my thing. Still we do the work. We still fly.”
