Joe Rogan Draws Backlash for Suggesting Young People Don't Need to Get the Coronavirus Vaccine
Joe Rogan is facing significant backlash on social media.
The 53-year-old The Joe Rogan Experience host, which ranks No. 1 on Spotify’s Top Podcasts, drew anger after saying in his latest episode that he would not recommend a “healthy person” who is “young and eating well” to get the coronavirus vaccine.

During the April 23 episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, he spoke with comedian Dave Smith about their thoughts on the vaccine.
Find out what he said…
“If you’re like 21 years old, and you say to me, ‘Should I get vaccinated?’ I’ll go ‘no. You’re healthy. You’re a healthy person. Don’t do anything stupid, but you should take care of yourself,’” he said.
“If you’re a healthy person, and you’re exercising all the time and you’re young and eating well, I don’t think you need to worry about this.”
Joe Rogan became a Trending Topic on Twitter, with many people calling him out for using his platform irresponsibly.

I once heard Joe Rogan described as a "stupid person's idea of a smart person," and it can't be said any better than that. https://t.co/R4HtV4pJ1E

If you're a young person, get your advice on vaccinations from the CDC and NOT from Joe Rogan.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

yo, fuck joe rogan. it's so deeply irresponsible to tell young folks not to get vaccinated on the BIGGEST podcast in the world. everyone should get vaccinated as soon as they can, for themselves and for everyone else.
