Lupita Nyong'o Attends the One-Night Only Showing of New Movie 'Little Monsters'

Lupita Nyong’o walks the red carpet at the premiere of her movie Little Monsters on Tuesday (October 8) at the AMC Lincoln Square theater in New York City.

The Oscar-winning actress was joined at the event by co-star Alexander England, writer and director Abe Forsythe, and producer Jodi Matterson.

The movie is in theaters for just this one night only and it will start streaming on Hulu on Friday, October 11.

Little Monsters is billed as a “film dedicated to all the kindergarten teachers who motivate children to learn, instill them with confidence and stop them from being devoured by zombies.”

FYI: Lupita is wearing an Eki Orleans top and pants, Manolo Blahnik heels, and an Arme de L’amour gold starburst earring.

Lupita Nyong'o Says Taylor Swift Helped Her Through a Hard Time

Taylor Swift holds a special place in Lupita Nyong’o‘s heart!

While promoting her new movie Little Monsters at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, the 35-year-old Oscar-winning actress revealed how one of the 29-year-old singer’s helped her get through a difficult time in her career.

“I was going through a hard time professionally, and I was just in a funk,” Lupita said. “I was working abroad, and my best friend came to cheer me up. He played ‘Shake It Off’ on his phone, and we just had a dance party in my bedroom.”

In the film, Lupita plays a kindergarten teacher who needs to protect her students from a zombie apocalypse. Her character then sings “Shake It Off” while playing the ukulele to keep the kids calm.

“It meant a lot to me that this film had that [song],” Lupita added. “And so when I heard that they were having a hard time [getting the rights] I wrote Taylor Swift myself and asked her, and told her that story. And she said yes!”

Lupita Nyong'o & Josh Gad Will Star in Zombie Comedy 'Little Monsters'

Lupita Nyong’o and Josh Gad are joining forces for the upcoming zombie movie Little Monsters!

The 34-year-old Queen of Katwe actress and the 36-year-old Beauty and the Beast actor will begin production on the comedy/horror flick in Sydney, Australia.

Hailing from writer-director Abe Forsythe, the film will also star Down Under actor Alexander England.

Little Monsters follows “Dave (Alexander), a washed-up musician who volunteers to chaperone his nephew’s kindergarten class field trip after taking a shine to the plucky teacher, Miss Caroline (Lupita). Dave’s intentions are complicated by the presence of Teddy McGiggle (Josh) the world’s most famous kids show personality – and competition for Miss Caroline’s affections. One thing none of them bargained for, however, is a sudden zombie outbreak, from which Dave and Miss Caroline must protect the children,” according to Deadline.

'Alien: Covenant' Trailer Brings Us a New Bloody Shower Scene

The new trailer for Alien: Covenant is filled with some intense moments, including the return of the facehugger egg and a shower scene that is bloody as can be.

It appears to be Callie Hernandez and Jussie Smollett in the shower together, and judging by the bloody mess, we’re guessing that things don’t turn out well for the Empire actor.

Alien: Covenant is the sequel to Prometheus and it also stars Katherine Waterston, Michael Fassbender, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demian Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England, and Benjamin Rigby.
