The weekend box office numbers are in and it looks like horror film Annabelle: Creation took the top spot after earning $35 million in its opening weekend!
The film stars Miranda Otto, Talitha Bateman, Alicia Vela-Bailey, Lulu Wilson, and Stephanie Sigman, and is the origin story for the terrifying (real life) doll from The Conjuring films.
Dunkirk stayed strong after several weekends at the box office, coming in second place and earning $11.4 million. The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature came in third this weekend after opening to $8.9 million.
Rounding out the top five were The Dark Tower and The Emoji Movie, which made $7.8 and $6.6 million respectively.
