Blake Heron‘s cause of death has been ruled an accidental drug overdose.

The child star, best known for his role as Marty Preston in the beloved 1996 dog film Shiloh, sadly passed away at the age of 35 back in September.

Just days before his untimely death, Blake had completed a stay in a rehab facility following his battle with heroin, according to TMZ.

Now, it has been revealed that Blake passed away due to the “effects of multiple drugs,” including opioid fentanyl, according to his death certificate obtained by Entertainment Tonight.

Despite his battle with drugs, EMTs reportedly did not find any illegal drugs in his home and he was not consuming alcohol.

Blake is said to have been sick the past few days and was taking prescription medication for the flu.
