Christina Grimmie Laid To Rest After Small, Intimate Funeral

Christina Grimmie has been buried following a small funeral in New Jersey on Thursday (June 16).

The 22-year-old singer was shockingly and tragically killed last Friday in Orlando after her concert.

Via People, the funeral “was a private, intimate gathering for her family and close friends.” The service was paid for by her The Voice coach, Adam Levine.

Fans who wish to pay their respects to Christina, are able to attend a public memorial at the Fellowship Alliance Chapel in Medford, New Jersey, TODAY, Friday, June 17th, from 3-8 p.m. A memorial service will begin at 8 p.m.

Rest in Peace, Christina.

Christina Grimmie's Private Funeral Services Set for This Week

Christina Grimmie‘s funeral services have been set for later this week following her tragic murder in Florida over the weekend.

The 22-year-old singer was killed by a deranged fan during a meet and greet following her concert. The shooter then took his own life after being tackled by Christina‘s brother.

The Associated Press reports that a viewing will be held on Friday (June 17) at Fellowship Alliance Chapel in Medford, NJ and a memorial service will happen there later that night.

Christina‘s funeral will be a private ceremony for family and close friends. “It’s just going to be a small, intimate gathering for her family and close friends,” a source told People.

Family and friends, including Mark Grimmie, honored Christina‘s life during a candlelight vigil on Monday night in New Jersey.

The guys’ – Riley, Connor, and Toby McDonough – took to Instagram to share more words about her.

“Last night we lost an angel, sister, and beloved friend,” BYE wrote. “Christina was such a loving, caring, beautiful person with the biggest heart. She was an absolutely incredible musician and an even better friend. We are so saddened by her passing and are completely heartbroken.”

The band’s merchandise manager and security team member, Anthony Najarian, took to Twitter to express his grief over returning to the place of her death.

“So hard going back to the venue today to get our gear,” Anthony wrote. “We left the lights on in your green room and prayed over the area of your death. I will love you for all eternity and can’t wait to see you again and have an epic Smash battle.”

Christina Grimmie's Brother Speaks Out at Hometown Vigil

Family, friends and fans gathered to remember the life of the late Christina Grimmie during a vigil held in her hometown on Monday evening (June 13) in Evesham, New Jersey.

The 22-year-old singer’s brother Mark, as well as several close friends and Mayor Randy Brown spoke out about her life, which was tragically cut short.

“She loved this town, she loved this state, she loved singing, she loved the Lord and she loved me and she was my baby sister,” Mark said as he spoke to the crowd.

He also thanked everyone for their outpouring of support, saying, “Adam Levine paid for Christina’s funeral. Selena [Gomez] is singing a song and crying [during her concert]. These people didn’t have that and we are blessed to. She’s in a better place…Thank you to everyone once again. I wish I could elaborate more, you guys didn’t know her like I did, so thank you. This is awesome.”

Mark also took the opportunity to pay tribute to those lost during the shooting in Orlando, adding, “About four miles away from where we were staying, there was a huge tragedy to Orlando, to the LGBT community and to the whole world. I mean, 50 people dead, who knows who is injured. I have no words. All of those people that died and are suffering.”

Justin Bieber Gets Choked Up Singing Tribute to Late Pal Christina Grimmie (Video)

Justin Bieber got quite emotional while paying tribute to his late friend Christina Grimmie during his show at MTS Centre on Saturday night (June 11) in Winnipeg, Canada.

The 22-year-old entertainer sang his song “Purpose” while laying on the stage and he can be heard getting choked up and saying, “Grimmie, can you hear me?”

In case you didn’t know, Justin met Christina years ago and she was really close friends with his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez.

In fact, Selena‘s stepfather Brian was Christina‘s manager.

Adam Levine is Paying for Christina Grimmie's Funeral

Adam Levine is trying to help Christina Grimmie‘s family in any way he can.

The 37-year-old Maroon 5 front man, who coached the late 22-year-old singer to third place in season six of The Voice, has offered to pay for her funeral services, according to Christina‘s brother Mark.

“I found out this morning, that Adam Levine personally called my mother and said he will pay for the funeral and her plane flight, and I was blown away,” Mark wrote on Facebook. “Now a friend just told me to look at the gofundme page and I see it is at 100k. Words cannot express…literally I have no words.”

Christina was tragically gunned down during her meet-and-greet at The Plaza Live after her concert on Friday (June 10) in Orlando, Fla.
