Now that the evening has ended following Bruce Jenner‘s historic interview about transitioning to a woman, let’s recap all of the major stories from the night.

The interview began with the 65-year-old former Olympian declaring that he is now a woman.

Bruce, who said that we should use the familiar pronouns “him” or “he” when talking about this interview, opened up about the first time he wore a dress and also about his sexuality.

Bruce continued by talking about his former marriages and specifically his relationship with ex-wife Kris Jenner, who lashed out at a certain media outlet over a tweet about the special.

When discussing his children, Bruce said that he was terrified to talk to them about his transition and revealed their reactions. His older children even spoke on the special and gave beautiful remarks about their acceptance of their father.

Bruce Jenner‘s four older children made an appearance on the Diane Sawyer interview special and revealed their beautiful reaction to their father’s transition into a woman.

Burt, Brandon, Casey, and Brody all showed their support for their dad and revealed how they learned the news and what their initial thoughts were.

Casey said that she asked Bruce if she can still call him “dad” moving forward and when he said yes, she felt a sense of relief.

Bruce also revealed that he was terrified to tell his kids about the transition. While Kendall and Kylie did not make an appearance, they did release a statement about the transition.

Bruce Jenner revealed what Kanye West‘s reaction was to the former Olympian’s transition and how it helped Kim Kardashian accept it.

The 65-year-old reality star recalled that Kanye told Kim: “I could be married to the most beautiful woman in the world, and I am. I could have the most beautiful daughter in the world, and I have that. But I’m nothing if I can’t be me. If I can’t be true to myself, they don’t mean anything.”

Bruce also revealed that since then, Kim has been the most accepting of the transition.

During the interview with Diane Sawyer, Bruce also told the story of Kim catching him in a dress and how that memory prompted her to ask some questions.

Kendall and Kylie Jenner have released a statement supporting their dad Bruce Jenner during his interview with Diane Sawyer.

The journalist revealed that the three Kardashian sisters did not respond to the request for comment.

“We love our dad very much, he has the biggest heart and all we want is for him to be happy. If he’s happy, we’re happy,” the girls said.

Bruce revealed during the interview that Kendall and Kylie caught him cross-dressing via a spy cam on their computer when he went into one of their rooms to use a full-length mirror.

Bruce Jenner is opening up about his sexuality after confirming that he identifies as a woman.

“No, I am not gay,” the 65-year-old former Olympian told Diane Sawyer. “As far as I know, I am heterosexual. I have never been with a guy. I’ve always been married, raising kids.”

Bruce reveals that he desires a woman and admits this is “confusing. You’re going back to the sex thing and it’s apples and oranges.”

In Bruce Jenner‘s interview with Diane Sawyer, he revealed the first time he tried on a dress and what was going through his mind.

The 65-year-old former Olympian says that he was seven or eight when he tried on his mom or sister’s clothing.

When asked if he remembers the exact dress, he says he doesn’t. “I marked the closet so when I put it back, I could put it all back, everything back in the same spot so I wouldn’t get caught.”
