The domestic violence charges against Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland have been dropped and he is speaking out in a new statement.
Justin was dropped by Adult Swim back in January, around two weeks after the felony charges went public. He was accused of domestic violence by an ex-girlfriend and was charged with one felony count of domestic battery with corporal injury and one felony count of false imprisonment by menace, violence, fraud and/or deceit. He pleaded not guilty.
Orange County District Attorney’s office spokeswoman Kimberly Edds said in a statement on Wednesday (March 22): “We dismissed the charges today as a result of having insufficient evidence to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt.”
